The focus for today is:
True spirituality requires
humility, patience, acceptance and gratitude.
This is Marie T. Russell, publisher of InnerSelf.com wishing you a day of true spirituality (today and every day). Many of us were raised as part of a religion. And the tenets of many of these religions or teachings usually have a core common ground: "Love thy neighbor". This teaching of loving our neighbor implies patience, acceptance, humility and gratitude.
Today's message is inspired by the book: Spiritual Aging, written by Carol Orsborn.
Aging viewed through the soul’s lens is not a slow, sad decline but a spiritual culmination.
True spirituality requires more of you than you think you have to give. Things like humility, patience, acceptance and gratitude. Growing older strips you of your masks and melts away your defenses without your having to do anything but feel.
In the end, if you find sufficient faith not to second guess yourself, what will remain is the distilled essence of who you are. And you are dependable, kind and radiantly beautiful.
